Ease your Customer Service burden
If you go to Google and type in "Customer Service Software" or "Help Desk Software" you will see hundreds of listing. Yahoo in fact has a whole section devoted to for customer service software.
As an average independent business owner, how are you going to find the right software solution to answer customer complaints, concerns, or issues. Well, as an average website owner myself, I had the same issues. Personally I started coding my own trouble ticket software since I was unable to find a product that met my needs and one day soon I hope to feature that product on this site for others to use. Obviously though, not everyone has that luxury though. So to help ease your burden, I plan to list various customer service software programs here with some small reviews of my personal thoughts about them.
I don't believe that there will ever be the perfect program to answer all your customer service needs, but hopefully my testing will help you in deciding what you might need for your business. Before I list some of my favorite customer support software I wanted to list some of the criteria I required.
- You must track each and every single customer issue including date and time.
- Ability to automatically notify you and the customer of the status of each ticket.
- Ability to track the complete history of the call.
- Ability to route the calls internally to various departments.
- Connection to a FAQ or Knowledge Base.
- Ability to have some reporting or metrics tracking.
- Simple and quick to use.
